Sound Meditation Facilitator
Author – Educator
Award Winning Entrepreneur
In 1997, Andrea
founded ’Grandma Emily’s Granola’, a manufacturing company selling granola cereals and other gourmet food products. Starting in her home kitchen, she grew the company to eventually sell her products from coast to coast to coast. This led to teaching, mentoring and coaching budding entrepreneurs and this work continues today.
In 2015, Andrea sold the company, imagining delicious lazy days ahead but another role awaited – caring for her daughter Chloe who became ill.
In 2016, at age 28, Chloe passed into Spirit from colon cancer. Six weeks after her transition, she reached out with the words: “Mom, you’re so easy to find, it’s a joke.” That began a five-month dialogue that became Andrea’s first book, Conversations with Chloe: A Mother and Daughter Dialogue Across the Veil.
The Healing Power of Sound
After a near death experience in 1991, Andrea’s life shifted. Wanting to understand some of the gifts she had been given, she began meditating in silence with a group. When the first crystal singing bowl was introduced in 2000, her entire being moved to a calmer, more compassionate state. Discovering meditating with sound transformed her practice and her life.
Today, Andrea facilitates sound meditation sessions both live and via Zoom. Using crystal bowls, chimes, rattles, drums, and carefully selected vibrational music, she creates powerful experiences that promote transcendence, healing, and inner peace.
From weekly zoom and live sessions at a Cancer Wellness Centre to monthly sessions online for Helping Parents Heal, to community gatherings in libraries and cultural centres, Andrea strives to be of service through Sound.
